Big Week for Loudoun FCA!

Victoria and I, cold but having fun!
What a week it’s been…and it’s only Wednesday!  It started out on Monday with our annual Loudoun FCA Golf Tournament at Raspberry Falls Golf Course.  We had over sixty golfers come out to participate in the tournament on what felt like one of the first real fall days we’ve had.  Despite the chill, I think the guys still had fun golfing and I know my fellow women’s ministry rep, Noelle, and one of our faithful volunteers, Victoria, and I had a blast riding around in the golf cart taking pictures!  Thank you so much to everyone who came out and made donations to make this event possible!

This morning, I attended See You at the Pole, a national day of prayer for schools, at Potomac Falls High School, my old stomping grounds.  The turnout was amazing and it has been so encouraging to see this event and the FCA huddle at Potomac Falls grow over the past few years.  We also had more teachers come out this year than ever before, which was so exciting.  Parents, be encouraged that your students have teachers right there in their public schools who are in prayer for them every day.  Also, please continue to pray for your children’s teachers, as I know so many of you do.  I saw a lot of other people posting pictures from across the county today and I am so thrilled by the visible ways God is on the move in Loudoun already this school year.  Colossians 4:2 says, "Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful."  Friends, these kids are devoted enough to get up extra early and stand outside before school as their peers pass by praying over their schools.  Excitement doesn't even begin to describe it!
